Financial services runs on trust — between institutions and regulators, advisors and clients, a decision made today and the examiner who reviews it months later. We earn it by building AI that's traceable and auditable at every step.
Trusted by leading financial services institutions

Who We Are
Multimodal is a New York–based agentic AI company founded in 2023. Its platform, AgentFlow, automates document-heavy workflows for credit unions, community banks, regional banks, and private equity firms — with every step traceable and auditable for examiners and regulators.
Our Mission
We believe AI in financial services should be held to the same standard as the institutions that use it: rigorous, principled, and answerable. Most AI is built to impress. We build to withstand — not by making it more powerful, but by making it more accountable.
Who We Serve
Multimodal builds auditable AI for institutions where trust, oversight, and regulatory scrutiny are part of the work.
AgentFlow automates document-heavy lending, compliance, and operational workflows while preserving human review and records ready for NCUA and state examiners.
AgentFlow processes complex documents, applies internal policies, and moves work through existing systems — without replacing the infrastructure teams already depend on.
AgentFlow reviews unstructured documents, extracts critical information, and produces consistent investment outputs with a complete audit trail.
The Problem We Solve
Every financial institution has knowledge no system has ever captured — how a senior underwriter reads between the lines, how a compliance officer knows when something doesn’t add up. Most AI ignores it. When those people leave, the gap widens.
Our Story
Ankur spent 15 years in finance and AI at Bridgewater, J.P. Morgan, and across the industry. He studied at Princeton and authored three books about artificial intelligence with O’Reilly Media. Time and again, he saw promising AI projects gain real momentum, then stall the moment they reached production — not because the technology failed, but because no one could explain it to an examiner. That gap became the founding idea behind Multimodal.
Timeline
Started by finance domain experts and AI engineers with one mission: to make AI auditable.
Your expertise at the top, secure infrastructure at the bottom, and six specialized AI agents executing workflows — traceably, every time.
Credit unions and community banks deploy production playbooks with real audit logs, real examiner scrutiny, and real throughput gains. Swisscom automates 300+ daily payment orders, cutting processing time 75%.
Serving credit unions, regional banks, community banks, and PE firms — with every output fully documented.
What We Believe
Explainability is built in from the beginning. In regulated finance, “we’re working on it” does not hold up.
Finance is not a generic domain. It has specific rules, specific regulators, and real consequences. We go deeper than any generalist platform can.
Pilots do not matter on their own. What matters is work that runs reliably, every day, in institutions that depend on it.
The Team
Proof
Our lending team can now focus on value-added decisions rather than paperwork, and we’re positioned to scale loan processing without adding headcount.

A chatbot answers questions. AgentFlow executes work — it processes documents, validates information, applies policies, routes exceptions, generates outputs, and records what happened at every step.
RPA works best when inputs and rules are predictable. AgentFlow can process unstructured documents, evaluate context, apply financial policies, and route uncertain or exceptional cases to human reviewers.
AgentFlow connects with the systems an institution already uses. It can read information from documents and databases, execute workflow steps, route work for review, and write validated information back into core systems.
